Evidence numero uno for Mr. Lincecum that Giants fans are standing behind him, to help him get out of this slump :)
The logic behind this is absolutely idiotic.
I can’t believe this fanbase is absolutely deluded enough to think a poll on some website shows Tim that they’re behind him. I don’t think he’s going to waste his time with that stuff while he’s trying to improve his pitching.
Shit like this is the number one reason I can’t fucking stand this fanbase. “OMG GUYS. Let’s stay behind a guy that hasn’t been giving a chance to win this season.”
I get you want to support the guy. But what about every other fucking pitcher in the rotation that has kept us in ball games? If they ever had a bad outing, no one ever babies them as much as this fanbase Tim.Tim has pitched like shit for two fucking months and people are still acting like he’s a perfect, fragile human being.
But, uh.What about Ryan Vogelsong’s lack of run support? No one says anything about that. And it’s a damn shame. He’s proving that last year was not a fluke and that’s important to him.
After Matt Cain’s rough outing in Arizona, he pitched 18 consecutive shutout innings. He’s our horse and he’s pitched like it. And yet, people don’t give him the credit he fucking deserves.
Let’s not also forget who got our first win of the season. Yeah, that’s right. Barry Zito. Are you going to ignore that? Probably. He beats himself up if he gives up homeruns or if he feels like he left too early. But, no one seems to care. It’s absolute bullshit. He’s given us several great outings, which is great since our fifth spot always seemed to be a blackhole. And yet, most of you get on him if he’s less than perfect. He’ll give up six runs in the first and it’s back to trashing him.
But, if it’s your precious Tim who gives up five runs in an inning or faces five or six batters in the first or whatever he is doing to hand over the game, it’s okay because he did “fine” and it’s Bochy’s fault because he didn’t come take him out. He was just ~tired~
And let’s not forget about Bumgarner, who has quietly given us quality outings too. A kid. 22 years old.
TL;DR. Stop writing your fanfics and making your shitty edits and staring/posting pictures of Tim Lincecum’s ass long enough to realize that Tim Lincecum isn’t fucking carrying the team and it’s about damn time our other pitchers get the support and recognition they deserve.
Perfection is what Paula’s reply was.
Love Timmy and I think the fan support is really important, but this is an insult to the other pitchers who have been AMAZING this season. All 4 of them have been pitching fantastic games, and Timmy’s been blowing it in an inning, every time. That’s not an impressive start. He’s coming back, for sure, and he’s working hard, not making excuses, and staying positive, which is amazing and I love to see, but this is bullshit.

sec 129 row 34. Bullpen right in front of us, booya! I get my Wilson Gnome and hopefully they need him that day and we get to see him warm up. A girl can hope!
Right-hander Tim Lincecum has reached a verbal agreement with the Giants on a two-year, $40.5 million contract, avoiding salary arbitration.
Former San Francisco Giants outfielder—and 2010 post-season hero—Cody Ross has signed a contract to play for the Boston Red Sox, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.
Ross, 31, became a fan favorite in San Fran after his heroics in the 2010 post-season when he batted .294/.390/.686 (1.076 OPS) with 5 HR and 10 RBI in 15 games. Two of his homers came against Phillies ace Roy Halladay, prompting fans to note that Cody Ross spelled backwards is ‘Sorry Doc.’
The Atlanta Braves, Colorado Rockies and New York Mets were also recently linked to Ross.
More good news from Henry Schulman:
Good news from Scottsdale, Ariz., if you’re a fan of the Giants and Buster Posey.
Dave Groeschner, the Giants’ head athletic trainer, just told me that Posey has begun catching live bullpen sessions for pitchers in the instructional league. Groeschner watched Buster catch his second one this morning. The session lasted about 8 minutes.
As Schulman also says, the Giants won’t know if Posey has completely recovered until he settles into the daily grind with the other players in spring training, but Posey catching live bullpen sessions and feeling good doing so is an excellent start.
